My Craft Life in Moving Boxes

It’s been quiet around here lately, I know! Everything has been crazy for a while and I have had pretty much no time for crafting, let alone blogging. I miss it all so much though, especially blogging. I’ve been thinking about it a lot recently.

So what’s been going on? In a nutshell, I met someone pretty special, but he lives 200 miles away. So for the past 7 months, we’ve been taking turns making the trek to the other’s place to spend weekends together. Totally worth it, but it came at the cost of not having much time for crafting, since I usually do most of that on the weekends.

But really, look how cute we are (ignoring the fact that I have alien eyes in this picture)… wouldn’t you give up some crafting and blogging time for this?!

Katie and Kevin

Now though, there’s a light at the end of the tunnel! We’ve decided to move in together, yay! I’m moving up to Everett and we’re getting an apartment, and then I can have some craft time AND Kevin at the same time. This is a great deal. Except for the whole packing part, that always sucks.

Behold, the pile of boxes that is my craft stuff (and yes, ONLY my craft stuff… I think I have a problem).

Moving boxes

Once this stuff is moved and unpacked, I see some binge sewing in my future. Also, I can never buy yarn again: it filled two big Target bins and more cardboard boxes than I care to admit. Wheeee!

I look forward to the blog having some life in it again, and hope that I still have some readers out there! Tell me, what have you been working on? I need to craft vicariously through you guys for just a little longer…
