Hello everyone! Today I have what is probably everybody’s favorite type of post: the kind where you can win something! Sew Mama Sew is hosting Giveaway Day (which is really more like Giveaway Week), and this year I am pleased to be participating by giving away a handmade goodie!
Up for grabs is an adorable little purse that features a cherry blossom print on the outside, and a white with red polka dots lining. It’s a small “grab it and go” purse just large enough to hold a small wallet, cell phone and keys. It’s closes with a magnetic snap. The strap that comes with it is a 48″ long soft chain, but it’s removable so you can use the bag as a strapless clutch, or attach a different strap if desired. I’m also happy to adjust the length of the chain one if the winner wants me to.
Some of you will recognize the fabric, but for the new visitors (hi! Thanks for coming by, I hope you’ll have a look around at some of the other posts), this fabric is the last little bit of one that I fell in love with. I have a bag made out of it that I carried until it fell apart.. but don’t worry, I can fix it and will carry it around even more! The pattern I used is Little Betty Bag. I’ll see if I can get some better photos before the contest is over.
This contest is open to everyone including international visitors, hooray! There are a number of ways to enter; to start, leave a comment below telling me what you normally carry in your purse. I’m one of those gals that can carry a tiny one because I don’t carry much around, but I’m always curious what goes into people’s great big ones! Once you’ve commented there are other ways to gain entries such as spreading the word or following me via social media.
BONUS! I am also doing a small giveaway for a copy of my knitting pattern, Blades of Grass Mitts. Followers on Twitter, Facebook or my blog feed can enter here, and there will be 3 winners for the pattern. This is a PDF pattern and I can deliver either via email or via Ravelry.
Good luck and enjoy! You can find other handmade giveaways on this Sew Mama Sew Giveaway post. If you want to Pin an image, here’s the one to share:
