I made white bread! It’s not the best loaf I’ve ever seen, but I think it’s a really solid first try.
For my birthday, I made a tres leches cake using Alton Brown’s recipe. I added a little spice and made a fruit compote topping. I was very pleased with my birthday cake!
Summer is a quiet time crafts-wise for me, and leads to quiet blog, as well. But I did get some baking done!

Amazingly, I found out about a fair isle class happening shortly after I posted about wanting to learn fair isle. I took it as a sign from the gods and signed up. I’m making a hat!

After sitting in my queue for over a year, I finally buckled down and knit my Ishbel, and boy do I love it!
Since I no longer have my original 198 Yds of Heaven shawlette, I’m making a new one for myself! This one is made out of Tosh Vingate, in Tart, and I will fight anybody that tries to get this one from me!
